State symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan

The State Flag, the State Emblem, the State Anthem are the state symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Standards of the State Flag and the State Emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan are kept in the Residence of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The State Flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a rectangular blue panel with a rising sun in the middle and a soaring eagle below it.The national pattern in the form of a vertical stripeis engraved at the base of the flag.The image of the sun, its rays, the eagle and the state emblem is golden.The ratio of the width and length of the flag is 1:2.

In the language of heraldry, the blue color and its various shades correspond to such moral qualities as honesty, reliability and hope.In the ancient Turkic language, the word "blue" means sky. Blue coloris a sacred concept for theTurkic peoples.

Based on the cultural and semiotichistory of the blue color among theTurks and other peoples of the world, it can be concluded that the blue color on the state flag indicates the purity and nobility of the aspirations of the people of Kazakhstan for a new statehood.
