State anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan

The anthem is one of the main symbols of the state.The term "hymn" comes from the Greek word "gymneo" and means "solemn song".The anthem is considered an important sound symbol, which is of primary importance for the effective socio-political grouping of the country's citizens and ethno-cultural balance.

In the entire history of independent Kazakhstan, the national anthem of the country was approved twice - in 1992 and 2006.

After the republic gained state sovereignty, in 1992, a competition was announced for the music and text of the national anthem of Kazakhstan.Based on the results of the competition, it was decided to preserve the musical version of the anthem of the Kazakh KSR.Thus, Mukan Tolebaev, EvgenyBrusilovsky and Latif Hamidi became the authors of the music for the first national anthem of independent Kazakhstan. In addition, the team of authors, well-known poets Muzafar Alimbaev, Kadyr Myrzaliev, Tumanbai Moldagaliev and Zhadyra Daribaeva won the competition for the best text.

In order to increase the popularity of the country's sound symbol, a new national anthem was adopted in 2006.ThissongwaswrittenbyShamshiKaldayakovin 1956 with lyrics by Zhumeken Nazhimedenov.The first President of Kazakhstan – Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev edited the original text of the musical work in order to give the song a high status of the national anthem and perform it more solemnly.On January 6, 2006, the Parliament of Kazakhstan at a joint meeting of the Chambers made appropriate changes to the Decree "On State Symbols" and approved the newNationalAnthem of the country.
